Yeah Carlson is a great track very big well designed but the 260,000 volt power lines over head and the Rail road track and chemical plant beyond the Rail Road track dont really put me at ease.. Something about 260,000 volts hovering overhead with tanks of god knows what with in 100 feet of distance.
Selwa do you mind PMing me the email of the Presisdent of BMX 2000 i want to see if i can work out a years worth of membership with him. |

I was e-mailing Cathy Walsh who is the president. Here is the tracks website with all the info:
http://www.track2000bmxracing.com/ Funny how the season fee is $40 for adults but they want to charge us $100!! I'm bothered by that!! Here I am trying to make it benificial for both parties included and this is what happens. |

I here you Selwa but here is the thing
i think that BMX2000 is thinking that we just wanna go there bash and leave make a mess and they clean it up.. What i am going to try to explain to her is that if we join we will help with the maintence cleaning when we are available because if they give us membership we will be a part of the club and it only fair we help up.. and i think they think that most people who will be running there will be younger people and will need adult supervision its a wierd situation but ultimatley what i wanna try to get is a membership for the whole year for R/C users something thats reasonable nothing like 500 or anything like that im thinking in the 100 to 150 dollar range BUt i dont know we shall see what they say |

Sorry no word guys. If it was up to the track director then it would be a go. He lives in Ancaster and offered use of his farm at one point. At BMX200 there are too many Chiefs and not enough Indians!
How do you think I feel? It's just 5-10 minutes from me and the scale is great for my 1/6! |

Nice to see another fellow Miltonian! Sometimes I run my 1/6 around the track. (Drumquin Park). It's nice that's it's far away fro any residential houses. With Spring/Summer around the corner the traffic in the park will pick up. (Baseball, Soccer, and the track)
I'll keep trying and see post any new info. |
