12v Power Supply Out Of Computer Power Supply?

hey i seen them before does anyone know how to convert a computer power supply into a 12v 18 amp power supply for my charger?
i heard lots of ppl done it
any websites with info?

I guess if you have only one charger and/or have an older computer power supply, then this mod makes sense..

i was looking down this path until I figure out that by the time you buy a big enough power supply, all the parts, etc.. you could have bought a ready made 30a DC power supply for cheaper ($100-$120 range)

also a computer power supply is not rated for continuous power.. check the label and you will see they are rated for peak power, the continous power will be way lower, so make sure you get the right one

btw.. this seems to be a better way to do the same conversion:
