The first plane I built and flew was based on the SRR http://www.plasticwings.net/SPAD/SRR. Powered it with an older OS MAX 20. I couldn't find any suitable aluminum channel and ended up building a gutterpipe fuse instead. Turned out a bit heavy but I learned to fly with it.

This is an opportunity to design your own plane. Review the Debut plans. Also review other plans for how to build a wing with dihedral (SSR and BUHOR dihedral wing have good pictures). Build a Debut with 5" of dihedral in the wing. Add a rudder and some landing gear and you will have a nice .25 sized trainer. With a .25, weight is critical...make sure and build it with a 2mm coro wing and canadian pipe.

that dosen't look like it would survive many of my "landings" but it does look cool, i can already fly i am just looking for a .25 one with landing gear so i can get my wings pin so i can fly at these combat sessions. thanks for the link.

I'll bet if you scaled down the Spadet a bit, it would fly well on a .25. For something simple, you could try the SRR with a .25 instead of a .15 and slap some wire landing gear on it, modify as necessary.

I'm from...

I'm from halton hills ontario. georgetown to be precise. Um how exactly do i scale down the spadet plans? i know it is a dumb question but i will have to substitute materials and it will most likely end up not flying. the plan to modify the .15 size plane to a .25 is promising. The engine i got a a O.S. .25LA if that makes a difference
