Getting into jets, who's in Alberta, BC, Sask
Looking for other guys who are flying jets in Alberta, Southern BC or Sask. Getting started on my kit and would appreciate any help from other jet guys around with words of advice.
Thanks Dave Johansen |

Re: Getting into jets, who's in Alberta, BC, Sask
I'm in Abbotsford BC but grew up in Red Deer, still visit there a few times a year. Alan Blore is in Calgary and flies jets, there are a bunch of guys up in the Edmonton area and a little further North that fly jets, not sure who else in southern alberta is doing jets.

Re: Getting into jets, who's in Alberta, BC, Sask
Thanks guys. I knew there is a few guys in the northern part. I'd love to get out to Princeton but I'll be working down in New Mexico that week. My work schedule did allow me to personally take in California Jets 107 pilots and over 200 planes, it was an outstanding event.
Just bought a Nick Zoroli short kit and plan for his Turbinator, I read it is suppose to be a decent jet trainer to move someone from prop planes to turbines. Thanks for the offer of help Al, I'm sure you'll here from me sometime. Where around Calgary do you fly? Dave |

Re: Getting into jets, who's in Alberta, BC, Sask
I fly grass friendly jets at the Stampede Club and I fly the Pavement only jets down by Cayley.
I am going to be away until next Wednesday, going to the island to visit family and spend some time at Friday Harbor, Wa. Once our field gets a little more snow off it should be good to go. We are getting lots of higher temps in the teens this week so it may look promising soon. Maybe we can get together and you could have a look see at what I am doing. We are getting a few other fellows geared up this year in the city. So hopefully I'll have a few more flying buddies soon. Like I say give me a until later on next week and maybe we can set something up. Alan |
