How not to take Aerials!

Well I made a camera mount for the Electra and set the Camera on top of the wings and pointing it forward (no mirrors) - Absolute no problems taking of and first part of the flight went smoth ( feeling no drag!)- however halfway tru the flight I noticed some glitching and loss of elevator control- and as you can see on the movie the result was fatal!- I was more concerned about my new camera, because the plane did not owe me anything ( bought it at a swap meet for 25 bucks 4years ago), but unbelieveable the Camera survived without a scratch!
I think a frozen elevator servo was the culprit!

Re: How not to take Aerials!

It would be very helpful if you could tell us what type of camera, if it was remote triggered, and what you think caused the problems. Some of us are just starting with new setups also.
Were you using HS -55 servos? or larger?

Look at my previous post:"New Camera"--- on the Electra you have only two servos :Rud. and Elev.-- servo brand --Some very old Futabas!!-- No remote for Camera --runs continiously in movie mode
