Krill Thunder

Finally finished my Krill Thunder a few weeks ago. Awesome flying plane.

I went with the Axi 5325/16 Jeti Mezon 120 combo w/ 22x10 Falcon. Emcotec MPS. Hitec 5955s x 4. On 6S 4500, I am getting around 6 minutes of mixed flying.

This was one tough build. Not much for instructions so needed some input from Ivo at Krill - thank you Ivo for all the responses........and thanks to Graham Roscoe (RCG) for the CADD files for all the trays. I went with a reinforced f/g material which worked great.

I am really not much of a 3D flyer but can see that this will be a great tool to improve my skills. 30 flights booked and looking forward to this Thunder being my daily driver.

Re: Krill Thunder

Thx Manny and Ed,

These composite Krills are really nice. Crazy light. The composite material is way lighter than the composite-ARF kits - and definitely not as robust.

They really don't provide much for instructions though so it took a while to figure everything out. The Composite-ARF kits are much easier to put together as they provide all the parts along with instructions/photos.

I had to have all the servo/battery trays CNC'd. Cost was around $75 with the material.

Krill was very helpful - if I ever had a question or concern, they responded to my emails right away. Great service!

Thx
