Hi : I have a Balsa USA Fly Baby Biplane that I have acquired. Plan to put a Zenoah 38 and airlerons on top wing. Plane still has to be covered. Anybody out there with same plane? Any information or idea's would be appreciated. Also interested in acquiring a Balsa USA Flybaby Mono Wing ( single wing ) kit or plane ? Larry

Re: Balsa USA Fly Baby Biplane

Built one, and flew it for several seasons. A straight forward build, and went together with no hitches. I used a Quadra 35, and it flew very well. A stately flyer, certainly no speedster. The dual ailerons will improve the roll rate, but it was no aerobat with the Q35. The only change I would recommend is to loose the music wire undercarriage, and switch to a carbon fiber or aluminum gear. You will really enjoy shooting touch and goes, have fun!!

Re: Balsa USA Fly Baby Biplane

I saw a 1/3 scale Fly Baby at the Scale Masters in Wenatchee. Nice looking model and electric powered to boot!
I took a few pictures if you are interested.

My next project is a 1/3 scale low wing. The plans are on order.
