something not todo
Anyone done this few times?
I went to start my plane today, some how i put so much strength into tuirning the prop that i broke my finger as i went stright down and hit the ground. Bent my finger backwards i hit the ground so hard. Not sure how or why but it just happened. No more chicken stick/hand start... im buyin a starter if one can be used which in my case it can be. |

OUCH! That isn't a way you'd expect an RC injury to happen... Thankfully you didn't get into the prop after busting the finger...
Hopefully you'll be flying again in no time

Re: something not todo
Ouch! Too much Wheaties? I hope you and your finger are fine! Were you using a stick or your hand?

Re: something not todo
ouch is right ill be flying one of my planes this weekend no matter what.
Must have been something in the fruity loops I was using a stick but it frustrated me so i started using the hand. To say the least my day came to an end and never ended up getting the motor started |

Re: something not todo
Your finger will heal, RC aircraft and vehicles are a wonderful hobby, get an electric starter and learn from your mishaps...
Good Luck to you... Gordon

Re: something not todo
dont "need" a starter to fire up this engine but i sure as heck going to use one now. Not worth doing what i did today again.

Re: something not todo
I have a couple of old starters around; I received them as part of a sellout. I fly diesel, so starters to me are as useful as screen doors on a submarine.
Email me, we can arrange something. |
