I love my RC8! Handles great and the durability is there. I yet to brake a part. (i did bend an A plate) Very easy to work on and has lots of steering and takes jumps really nice. Also, AE's service is just amazing anything wrong they will correct it. Plus they are very helpful. IMHO, i am not disappointed with the RC8 i am glad i got the RC8. I had a cl-1 before and it didn't agree with me. But, with the RC8 i can see the difference in handling and absolutely love it. I think if you get this buggy you wouldn't be disappointed. If you get an RC8, get the service pack, (should come with it already) AE top plate and you will be fine. Tekno.

I was at a races and ran well but DID NOT have the service kit in yet and i broke in the main. Like Tekno said it turns well and jumps well and all that. The AE site is a life saver,go on there and see what you need to do to the car. There are more shops that have parts like Johns photo,Pinicle and hobby hobby. Awsome car!

The RC8 handled great at FTR. I only broke the wing mount but that was entirely my fault. I had the service pack installed and never had an issue. I drove my RC8 pretty hard and it's durable no questions about that!

Not at FTR but the only part I have broken since I bought mine many months ago was the steering ackerman. That was due to my battery coming unplugged as I went over the big triple and I lawn darted trying to make a 35 foot jump. The car has lots of flex intended for the rough. The back body mount hole is ovaled because of this and I can see my front body hole starting to oval out too.

I also added the Aluminum upper and lower steeringplates from Golden Horizon before I got my service pack and it sure helped, not to mention it looks so sexy on there.

Hi Barry...long time no talk...I noticed the same. The RC8 has alot of flex...maybe a little too much. I added the chassis braces to make it alittle stiffer.

Personally I found the Mugen MBX5-R to be a more forgiving buggy than the RC8 and every bit as fast.. not sure which one I'm keeping yet...
