I need to go to flying school when the spring be there.... in few month after this winter....

I really want to hear and smell the exaust of my new baby.... should read plane... :P

Hi Yves,

for break in of an OS, the best way to go is to follow the instructions in that booklet. They show a safe and effective way of breaking in the engine correctly. There are lots of folks with their own methods but assuming you are on your own here, it would probably be safest to follow the manufacturer instructions. I still do after quite a few OS's.

Bob

ps don't run this in your garage because oil and fuel will be blowing out the exhaust and make quite a mess and if it's too cold out, you won't get the best break in. Just fyi

Bahh! don't wait for warm weather, put down an old sheet in the basement open the windows and fire it UP !!!. Just Kidding!!! but if you have a heated garage you could still run it a little just to ease your mind

We had a thread here on RCCanada just a few weeks ago where a fellow was asking how cold is too cold to setup and break in an engine. Unless your talking about extremely cold weather I wouldn't hesitate to take it out doors and run it up.

Here is the link to the discussion:

I don't think my wife would appreciate, but I'm gone a wait for a one or two celsius and I should start it in my backyard and let the neighbourhood listen the music...

Gary,

Laval, Quebec has cold Toronto, Ont type weather (more snow there though, I used to live there).

I like the idea of letting the neighbours hear the "music"; might even get them hooked
