Pactra Formula U replacement?

In the instruction booklet for my Midwest Aerostar it says to cover the decals with Pactra Formula U urethane to keep them from lifting when contacted by exhaust residue. This doesn't seem to be available anymore. Is there something else that would work?

Yeah man, go down by market square and look for a nice girl!
Ask for clear nail polish...use a fine paint brush to seal around the edges of the decal

Nail polish sounds like a good idea, probably better though if I just check with my wife to see if she has any.
