BUSA 1/4 Scale Cub Floats

I want to install mount points for floats on my 1/4 BUSA J3 cub. Does anyone have suggestions where I need to put doublers etc? I'm also debating on whether the BUSA EDO kit is worth the money. I'm having a hard time justifying the cost of the Float kit when it's nearly the same price as the kit for the plane was.

I would think the best rear attach point would be the bulkhead at the aft of the passenger compartment. Just as in a real one, that main box forms the structure everything else mounts to, (engine, gear, wings, tailcone).

I haven't seen any mention of float hard points on my plans. Of course, I also put my F2 & F4 formers in about 3 steps after they were supposed to have been too

If you go to page 2 on this site you will find my thread on mounting 1/4 Balsa USA floats. It shows the jig I set up to help mount the floats. You will enjoy float flying.
