A good way to safety your fuel line is to cut a section of fuel line about 3/16" long and use your needle nose pliers to force it over the outside of the fuel line you want safetied. Install the line to the fitting and then slide the ring over it at the fitting.

You could try a vape shop, we use stainless wire to build our own coils for our e cigs they also have nichrome and kanthal wire which can be used for foam cutting not sure if they would have 22 guage but it might be worth a try.

Different grades of SS wire and the wire that the jet guys and others use is not too brittle as some type are. Double wrap and spin ( or twist it) it and bend over back against itself . The fuel line will never let go if done correctly. I am sure other methods
work well , also. The OP did find and order his wire , I believe.
