Re: 124" Carden PRO - Carbon Fiber Edition - BBT

Heres a little picture of the 43% at the Desert Imac this spring. Next to it is Chip Hyde's, Ryan Archer, Matt Stringer, Kyle Goodwine and the list goes on. A real compliment to Trevor as many asked who built the plane (yep it has "built by TREV" on it) as almost all of the planes in the picture are all built professionally. I was lucky enough to purchase the plane from Jack as Trevor builds a very precision aircraft.

Re: 124" Carden PRO - Carbon Fiber Edition - BBT

Here's the rest of the field at 7:30am. There were 48 planes flying, I think the 43% BBT was one of, if not, the best looking planes there.

Re: 124" Carden PRO - Carbon Fiber Edition - BBT

Brent,

Was that pic taken in Tuscon?

Well you have a Profesional built airframe as wel.

Oh did Jack forget to mention that everytime you use the BBT in print or even just saying it you owe the designer, [ME], royalties? You can send the $25 chq or just EMT it to me DA KID!

Great to see fellow Cnadians competing at the Shoot Out. No one has mentioned it but I assume you fly in the Unlimited Class?

Where do you fly in Calgary? Not much IMAC activity out there so I guess MOST if not ALL of the contests you attend are in the US. How far south do you have to go to get a ggod crop of contests.

My third year of IMAC I did 13 contest one year with over half in Michigan and Ohio.

Best of luck er oh a should I say Break A Prop! for good luck?

Re: 124" Carden PRO - Carbon Fiber Edition - BBT

The picture was the Desert Classic in Phoenix in March. I understand its the 3rd largest event. I real eye opener to the competitions.

Modestly I am in Intermediate, but hope with a little practice to move up.

I attended contests in Washington, the few in Alberta, Arizona and will include Idaho and Oregon next year. The Washington guys are great to fly with, and the Arizona events really get your event protocal's down.

Re: 124" Carden PRO - Carbon Fiber Edition - BBT

Love the pictures Brent!! That's one heck on a pit area in Arizona

Gotta say - that 43% Extra300 still has one of the coolest schemes and paint jobs around - kudos to Jack D for the design - I was just the lacky that tried to make it come together

Here are a few more pictures (before graphics) the day before it got shipped to Jack!!.....

Ahhhhhhhh!!!!
.
.
Was soo much fun to do a "bit" of cutty-cutty tonight! - such awesome theropy, LOL

Got 8.7oz removed from the motorbox and firewall. This, along with a few other mods and the lightened DA200 proved to be perfect for CG set-up on Jack M's PRO!!!

Re: 124" Carden PRO - Carbon Fiber Edition - BBT

Got most of the motorbox glued together with 30-min epoxy - I'll finish gluing the base structure tomorrow

First cutty-cutty - now lots of clampy-clampy
