ROTFLMAO!! Geeze - haven't checked in on the GP threads in a day!... now some are complaining about leaky front bearings? My goodness

I've been thinking if I was an engine MFG, how would I conduct business?... removed from the forums/threads like ZDZ, 3W, DA, DLE or in there a ton like GP, EME, etc? Pros and Cons with both approaches I guess. But now Fergie and the dealers are slave to that craziness and everything is aired publicily - some mallicous, some valuable, some because of user error, some because of issues.

So tough what to beleive these days

Tell the truth you are taking the long way around to join the WC, because you can stand the propaganda over there.

Yes, and everyone has an opinion and believes in what they fly!

There are so many good products these days, unfortunately there is great opportunity for those that breed bad products to throw into the mix......none of which anybody on rcc uses!

Ya - Some say if you take the 3W/ZDZ approach and the owners never partake in discussions then it's a poor customer connection. I don't agree, but you then place way more responsibility on your dealers.

Or do what Fergie tried, and try to be close to the customer base, but massive risk and a real ball and chain issue there.

The DA approach is an interesting twist where dealers are there for sales, but any issue you can talk to the source and have DA repair it.

Some downsides with all... but it all scares me and makes me thankful we have soo many options, considering the Royal PITA it must be for Engine MFG's.

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

The whole RC Airplane world has had such a dramatic change since I started in the 80 ' it's mind boggling.

All components nowadays (except the shady guys) are ultra reliable.....but I still watch people to this day with brain/thumb co-ordination issues blame it on the plane.....

I can't imagine where this hobby is headed in the future but we sure have it good today..

Thought that might raise an eyebrow or two. I guess a person could read into that in more ways than one LOL.

Nothing heavy meant by it

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

LOL!!! Very funny Brad!! At least 4 ways to read that! Hilarious!

I'm chuckling at how our E.M. email banter would put a spin on that considering how we've managed to dirty up the words "Valach" and "Beaver", LOL
