HI folks Does anyone have Aileron,Elevator&Rudder throws for this plane, have just aquired it and don`t know what the suggested settings are? is it best to have a specific HI LO rate or just a guestimate as I haven`t set up an Extra before. Thanks guys any advise would be welcome Pete.

You might want a little more Rudder then they call for.

I found it needed it if you want to do good knife edge flight. Watch the forward ballance point as well. Mine is ballanced about 1/8 inch back from the forward point and it has a real tendancy to nose over while taxing and if you neutralize the elevator once the tail is up it wants to swing it's a$$ to the sky. had this happened last weekend and ended up trimming a nice short section of grass at the hamilton Flying Tigers field! Right Ron!

I am thinking this winter of repositioning my servos, Rx and battery pack so that I can have the tank on the CG just like the guys do with their 27, 30, 33 and 40% jobs. I think this is the problem with my CG Extra 300 with it being only 1/8" away from the forward point I think that with the tank right behind the firewall, when it is full it moves the CG well forward of the ballance point. I am using an OS 1.08 with a 14oz tank.

Just thought I would pass that on.

Thanks Guys The help was just what I was looking for, am moving gear around trying to get CG right Its got a 1.20 4stroke up front so lots of nose weight eh! . I`ve never had a aerobatic plane before so this will be new challenge for me . See ya Pete.
