Carb clearance issue

Can anyone help? I'm building this REVO3.3 from scratch, and ran into a little issue. My filter won't fit without seriously grinding on the spur gear.
Has anyone ever had this problem??

Re: Carb clearance issue

Sorry to say but that is a sure sigh of a bend chassis in the motor mount area. And from looking at your pic it looks like you engine is kinda bent forward and down a bit. Good luck and keep us posted on what it is.

Re: Carb clearance issue

Yup, teeth marks on the slipper are a sign of either bent chassis or cracked mount.

Re: Carb clearance issue

Hey guys sorry for the long reply.

I checked and the frame is perfectly straight. Also, the teeth marks on the clutch were there when I got it. Remember, most of this stuff was given to me. Someone gave me the clutch, flywheel, spur gear and a few tranny internals. Those parts have never seen this frame or setup till now.

Hope this helps.

Re: Carb clearance issue

Make sure you have the proper air filter elbow some aftermarket ones have that issue The stock one has just enough room to clear and is a little tough to get on and off. Hope that helps
