Great Planes Sport Corsair .40
Some of you may remember my GP Extra 300 .40 thread a while back. When I was deciding which plane to get it was between the extra or the corsair and I decided for the extra. Then I found a great deal on these forums for the corsair kit and decided, why dont I have them both?
Construction wont start for a while because I have first semester diploma exams to study for, and then a new combat spad to build. But in a month or so I should have it under way. Does anyone else have this plane and what are your comments? Would it be worth while to modify the plane for retracts or should I just leave them fixed? I am thinking about airbrushing the plane, so can I cover it with white covering and then airbrush? Does it need to be a certain type of covering in order for the paint to stick well? That is all the questions I have for now, thanks, Brady

Has no one built this plane before?
What would you guys say about putting a 4 stoke in this little beast? What size would be a good one, Im not too familiar with 4strokes. Can you get pitts mufflers for these?

Hi Recon
Built 4 of these some years ago, One for a friend, one for dad and one for me to fly formation the fourth one we sold. Good flying airplane, not much room for retracts so we stuck with the fixed gear. As far as a 4 stroke we ran 65 saito, 70 OS surpass and a 46 TT. all worked well The newer 50 size 4 strokes would probably work well in it too, I haven't had any experience with them but from what I have heard and read they are pretty powerful. HTH
