I am new to trucks and am trying to get an old Rustler going that my neighbour gave me but had no electronics except the motor. I bought a XL-5 off a guy along with a servo but seem to be having problems with the esc. The manual I found talks about a low voltage indicator (LVI) that you can turn on for Lipo and off for NiMH - I only have the NiMH so want the LVI shut off, but can't seem to do that, the light always stays on the green. When I push the easy set button and hold it, nothing happens, no motor beep, no red light coming on.

My other problem is getting the break to work, I have tried to set it in sport mode (one flash on the LED) but there doesn't seem to be any braking.

Anyone have any words of advise?

Thanks, found some instructions late last night but am still having challenges getting them to work properly, will have to keep trying.
