I got my $800 order in just in time because it's now worth over $1300! Glad I didn't wait because I would have felt ripped off! Instead I feel that I got "fair value". Imagine, I shopped around and found the best price, all on my own! I found out that prices were soon going to be going up, and got a good deal even before I had everything explained to me. I'm so proud of myself!

I bet some people are now wishing they had spent a little more time getting their orders in instead of spending time trolling and being critical. I too "always prefer to see a decent company make a decent earning and stay in business", but I don't mind if most of the cash comes out of someone else pocket.

Kudos to you. You saved a bundle by doing your homework. If I would have needed anything at the present, I would have done the same.
Hard to believe that they would have went up so much so fast. Oh well, we should be used to that by now. I have enough planes lying around to get me a couple years, so the wife figures I'm set
I wonder once the factories in China get back into full swing if the Arfs will drop back in price a bit or stay up as long as fuel prices remain high.
It is just wierd that the 40 size Twist and Tango have almost doubled in price and the 120 size Twist is now cheaper than the 40 size. I suppose once new stock on those come in the price will go up on all the others also.

Oh well...... You snooze-----you lose!!

Cheers

Curt

Well g.p. i guess you were lucky, the twist was not in stock at GH while this price increase took place so i'm kinda screwed on that one. I realize the prices will go up, everything is going up but i'm puzzled while most nitro ARF's by great planes have only gone up $10-$50 ( i base my prices at Tower Hobbies ) then why is Hanger 9 prices increasing by so much, personally i think there will be a lot more great planes being sold then hanger 9 now as price does matter to most people especially in these times.

OK, i'm done bitchin now, just found a twist for $129.99 at Hobby Wholesale and the order is placed, i better take care of this one as it's probably my last, the only reason i really wanted another twist 40 is that i still have a new spare wing that a friend picked up for me and i still have some left over parts from my first one, so i'm happy now.

Thought I saw one at AVF when there Saturday for $129.99. Maybe too late if order has been placed, hope you don't have a shipping charge on top.

The Twist 40 at $180 does not compare to the U-Can-Do-3D 46 at $200 imho. If the prices where at this point when I got my Twist, I would be flying the U-Can-Do now instead, without a doubt.
Edit -oops, seems UCanDo is less money than Twist looking at new prices posted at Tower and Great Hobbies.
