Hi guy's
I'm a little leary of the Dl 111 VS DA 100 Has anyone had the oppertunity to run the Dl engine to see if you are really getting your bang for your buck?I dont know if I should buy the DL 111 wich is really great price or just buy another DA 100 wich I know runs like a clock. Thanks Brad

Re: Has anyone run a DL 111

hey,
I'm not to sure about the 111, but my DL50 runs every bit as good as my buddy DA's. And my other buddy is flying a DL100 in his Katana, and every one is really impressed with the performance. Personally I'll stick with DL. For the money, you can't beat the performance.

Thumbs up Re: Has anyone run a DL 111

i have a new dl 111 and i,m still breaking it in .man does this engine pull,i have not tached it out and i,m swinging a xroar 27/10 prop for breakin.once broken in i will switch it out with a 28/10 mezlick carbon fibre prop.the engine transitions very smooth from low idle to high speed with no sputters and does not burble like the da,s do.my dl 111 is in a ron chapman 37.5% edge 540 and pulls this plane around with authoirty .the only other engine i have is a zdz 80 in my 33% wildhare 260 extra. i,m going to buy another dl engine for my 33% areoworks ultimate bipe.these are great engines for the price and are going to give other engine manufactures a run for there money.

Re: Has anyone run a DL 111

Hey Brad, how you keeping?....Why not buy a 3W 110CS for a few dollars more...Then throw out the tow line and drag the others around behind you while you do your routine Then you can actually see that your hard earned $$$$s were very well spent

Re: Has anyone run a DL 111

maidened my 111 today, couldnt get it fired, low side needle valve from factory set at 1 turn. backed her out to 1.5 and fired right up. with a pt 27x10 first run span 6200. forth tank spinning 6600. fifth tank.... dead stick, forgot to fuel up, never did that before haha. so far pretty happy. carb leaks from the inlet nipple. seems to be a wide spread issue with these carbs, ill have to press a brass one in. transitions nice. idles great, though ive read some folks are having trouble with idle.
