im looking to get my first heli. I want a micro electric. Looking at the Hirobo xrb-sr,Century Hummingbird and the megatech Housefly. I want somthing that is durable and easy to fly. I here th hirobo is very easy to fly and durable. The Housfly is as easy t fly but not as durable, but I here thay have changed a few things to make it more durable than the first ones that came out. My LHS carries all parts for the hummingbird, thats why i am considering this one as well. The Hirobbo and the housefly are the duel type roto helis and the hummingbird is a standard type. Let me know what you think, cause I am new to Helis.

Check out the ( micro heli points) thread. Just posted some details. Built a few helis and this is by far this is the easiest one to learn on. As in the other post , no mods necessary.

I'd recomend the hirobo. It doesn't take long to figure it out and it's a blast around the house, just buy an extra pack of blades.

The hummingbird will probably frustrate and discourage you.
Once you figure out the hirobo you'll be in a much better situation with all others (they will be harder to fly buy you'll have the basics already). And if you choose, the hirobo is easy to sell.

Well, I picked up the Hirobo XRB SR today. This Heli flies like an Angle. I cant express how happy I am with it. This is my first Heli. I fly 3d planes, but i wanted something for inside. I can fly this in my Hobby work shop in the basement and its only 10X7 feet. If your looking for an indoor Heli...stop what your doing and go to the hobby shop and order one of these right now!!...explain it to the wife later!! Does anyone have the tethered version of this?? Whats it like??

Glad your happy with it.
I suggest you try laminating the blades. See below.

Even with thin packaging tape they tend to last longer. I ended up selling mine and occasionally regret it.
