Spektrum telemetry setup

Is this possible??

I would like to put a "Y" harness into my BIND / DATA slot in my receiver and on one side of the "Y" run my FLIGHT LOGGER SPM9540 -:

and on the other side of the "Y" run my TELEMETRY MODULE TM1000. From the TELEMETRY MODULE I would then run my ALTITUDE SENSOR SPMA9575.I'm not sure if the receiver can send signals at the same time to both of these sensors. It's a if I had two DATA ports on my receiver.

Has anyone tried this? If it won't work please explain why.

I'm setting my plane up for the MAIDENFEST at the end of April and I don't want to run into any glitches on the way.

Thanks

Re: Spektrum telemetry setup

Why even bother with the logger? Just get all the Flight Log data straight to the Tx from the telemetry module.

Because my Transmitter does not support receiving the data directly to it.

Re: Spektrum telemetry setup

The short answer is yes you can. The data port on your receiver doesn't receive anything. The tm1000 doe all the receiving / transmitting.
The tm1000, once bound, operates fully independently to your receiver it doesn't
Need ti be plugged to the data/bind port if your run a secondary power source to it basically it just uses the data port to read the Rx voltage

Re: Spektrum telemetry setup

The light bulb just went off. I guess he is using the STI. Since I don't use any iDevices of any sort I pretty much forget that it even exists.

Still baffled what the reason for the Flight Log would be though.

Re: Spektrum telemetry setup

The Flight Logger is plugged directly into the receiver. By pushing a button I can see the following:-

System Voltage Receiver Pack Voltage
Frame Losses
Antenna Fades for each of the four satellite receivers
Holds.

To read the information from the TM1000 DSM TELEMETRY SYSTEM, I use my IPOD.

I just plug in a TR1000 module at the bottom of it and use the APP that I downloaded. This is how I can read TEMP RPM ALTIMETER and other items that I don't have the sensors for.

OK ya lost me there. How are you reading data from sensors that you don't have? And why do you want to duplicate the Flight Log data that you can see on your iPod?

Re: Spektrum telemetry setup

Err, you still need the sensors to get the data, TEMP, RPM, ....

Are you going to fly the ipod? Or collect the data on the ground after a flight...

Kind of confused by your posts.....
