P.S. Look for some earlier build posts here...there are some nice ones...
Thanks, I will.
1 Question, Are you guys still "Flashing" the coro or have you found something that works.
I started to get better at it, but glazed it often which made it worse than not doing anything. I did find some special glue for coro that worked but cost $10/tiny bottle and that again for shipping from the states. I havent built with coro in 5 years now, so hopefully there is a better alt to stapling it (which I actualy started considering, lol )

Re: Combat Mosquito

Hey Tunes,

I don't flash anymore, All I do is give it sanding, or rough it up, use 120 grit.
The best glue was Flash med Ca but no longer out there.
So what I did is I had some Zap, Great Planes, and some CA from hobby king. I glued some 4mm coroplast with all three and found that zap was garbage, and great planes and the hobby king glue was ok. All these where Med CA.
When I'm glueing always use kicker, the heat from the reaction seems to help.

That might have been my problem, I htink I was using Zap back then.
I'll haveto keep surfing and find a good plan for a semi scale coro plane.
I found a thread with tons of pics for a scale coro spitfire wasnt enough instruction/plans for me to try it just by the pics though. I'll have to find who posted it and PM him for details.

Thanks John

Re: Combat Mosquito

I still read this thread to keep up with what you guys are doing. I miss being out there with you guys. It's still the most fun I have ever had in R/C. I hope your Onslaught Over Ontario goes really well. I thought that if you built a twin engine for use in combat the limit was two .15's ??? Maybe next year I can get back at it a little.
Best Regards to all you mini warbird pilots.
Bob

Re: Combat Mosquito

Hi tunes,

The Onslaught will be at Cobble Hills, which is a farm NE of London, Ontario. Sunday Oct. 18th.

I'll see if someone can post directions on the OoO MMIX thread.
I'm no good at this computer stuff.

Would be great if you can make it. We always have a great time.

Hi Bob,

We miss you too! The .15 powered twins proved to be underpowered. Jeff'Iceman' tried a Me-110 years ago. And Alex'Midair' tried a P-38 Lightning.

I saw JohnnyGs Mossi in the spring when he first started building it. Quite the challenging project! I'm looking fwd to seeing it fly !

Take care,
Have fun,

Re: Combat Mosquito

Hey Dave,
She's ready to go. You'll love it.
As for the 15's. Yes that's the rule, but with that being said I put 25 la's in it and it's got
the same speed as the tony and spit with 25 fx's. I do lose guys in the turns.
All in all it's not going over power or win contest based on the engine's. The other planes are better.

If I do fly it in the contest it's because everyone allowed it and for only one round.

John
