I have for sale Carden's brand new 43% Edge 540 kit that I purchased in January 2010!!! I purchased all of this brand new from Carden - this is kit number 13 of their first 15 ever made!!! It is an absolute beauty and the fuse is built perfectly straight with numerous BBT mods that are too long to list here!


Reason for the sale:
I have too many builds on the go and will likely have to push this off until Spring 2011, so have decided to take a loss and part with it.



Progress on the Build:
I have started the build on it and have the following build thread on it here...

At this point, the entire fuse structure has been framed up, including the motorbox and the stab tube and wing tube phenolics installed.

It is currently set-up for a Mintor220, DA150, DA170, 3W157 or 3W170 (bolt pattern and firewall position will work for any of these motors). Depending on what powerplant you choose, the tunnel would have to be made for it (I currently have the tunnel set for the Mintor220, but I could remove the tunnel upon request of the buyer so that the fuse was sold stock).



This sale includes the following:
* 43% Edge Kit w/ all wood, all foam and CF wing and stab tubes (fuse is the only thing built)
* Carden's milled, choice cut landing gear



Financials:
Bought new, the kit costs $1695US + $50US for landing gear + $275US shipping + taxes + conversion = $2510.00Cdn + many hours of building for the fuse.

I will let this go for $2000.00Cdn and I`m sure we can work out shipping / delivery!!!

Build Option:
If the buyer is interested, I can complete the build in Spring 2010, provided the kit is bought from me for my asking price soon. The build service cost will be managed as per my normal policies on my Built-By-Trev website shown in my signiture below.

Just to respond to a few PMs - the kit is 100% complete including a massive 2" diameter PBG Composites CF wing tube and 1/2" diameter CF stab tube.

Everything that you would expect from a brand new Carden kit is here - the only wood that was used was that needed for the fuse. The motorbox is Carden's new CNC routered box that I have further lightened.

The picture above, shows the framed Edge fuse next to a completed 43% Carden 260.

The last picture shows the fuse construction... I had interlocking plywood brackets laser-cut by John Durant at durantdirectdrive.com to tie everything together.

This fuse is very light and extremely stiff!

LOL!!! You're not the only one surprised!! I think I've lost it!!

If it doesn't sell within the next week, I'll restart the build and see if I can maiden it before the snow flies!
