Max nitro on OS15LA?

It became glaringly obvious to me last weekend that if I was actually going to be anything close to competitive at our pylon racing I wasn't going to do it with my current pylon racer setup.

So along with some prop changes and other tweaks I picked up a bottle of 25% nitro today.

Anyone else with smaller engines have any opinions on what might be considered the maximum safe nitro content I could run with the OS 15LA?

I know some guys are running higher then 25% but they're running custom blends (further then I'm willing to go).. That aside, I was tempted to buy some 33% I spotted at the LHS today, but I stuck with the 25% in the meantime untill I get some opinions.

Thoughts?

Well, I thought we were all going to be running reasonably similar planes and equipment/fuel...but I saw everything from 10% to a few guys mentioning custom blends into the high 30's, a tuned pipe on one, etc.

I flew with my 15% and was woefully underpowered but after checking around it seems I was overpropped a little too - I broke in with an 8X5 but many of the faster guys were running 7X4 or 7X5. A few were also running 8X5 props chopped to 7.5 apparently - an interesting compromise to perfectly match to an individual engine characteristics.

I picked up a 7X5 and a 7X4 today and will try them out tomorrow morning at the field. I'm hoping between the new fuel and a smaller prop I'll turn my racer from a dumptruck into at least a Chevette.

I was most defiantly in the "dumptruck" category last Sunday during the tryouts whereas there was a few Ferrari's.

Then again, I didn't spend anywhere near as much time as some making my racer 1000% aerodynamic, so I'm sure I'll pay a price.

Oh well, it's for the fun, not the winning, right?
