Re: rc boating in welland

If you ever find a decent size pond in the area I would definitely be interested in coming out to play.

I'm with Tim. If you could find something a little larger I too would come and play.

Re: rc boating in welland

Hi Shawn.

Tim and I race Gas and Nitro boats. An ideal pond for testing/racing is 1000 ft by 500 ft. Remember, our boats run around 70 - 80 mph and we need a little more room to play.

If you Google Earth your pond in Welland you can measure it's size. Let us know the size and exact location. We might come and take a look.

BTW ... I've done over 1000 props and had a small business back in the day. If you want to see how it's done I'd be glad to show you.

E-mail me ... randy_rap@cogeco.ca

Off camping in the morning ... I'll be home Monday

Re: rc boating in welland

The main reason we are looking for an enclosed body of water is safety ,
a private pond is easier to control.

Re: rc boating in welland

We are members of the NLMBC http://nlmbc.org/ which has three ponds at the moment.
Unfortunitely our Beamsville pond is to small for our faster boats and because of the very dry summer the pond has just about dried up.Our Alliston sight is very nice but a little to far to use regularly , so we are looking for something local to test and play.
