My lipo cell flying time as gone down alot, like 5 to 8 min and I was usualy getting 15 to 20 min.Is this a indication that my packs are dying? or can they be recycle?
the thing is I have not been using them much in the last 3 month so I dont know if this could have cause this.
I had the pack for about 8 month now.

I did some testing In a diffrent plane with the exact same setup exept prop(1238 compared to 1047) and ESC (CC25a compared to CC10a) and the flight time double so I might have something going on with 1 of my setups.

Is there any chance that the cold is affecting the lipos like it does with other battery types? Were the flights on the old and new plane on the same day?

We've had such varying temps the last few weeks that you can have a difference of 10-15 degrees

Ya,both flight were done today I have 2 planes setup to fly.I know the cold has something to do with it but there is to much diffrence in flight time between the 2 plane, the lighter plane flight time is shorter by about 4 min with the same pack.(appogy 830)This summer I was getting 15 min out of that pack with lotsa hovering thrown in.If I was just crusing around it could go up to 25 min.
I c a diffrence of 5 min in flight time on the same plane, same pack as compared to last summer but that could be because of the cold weather.

This new plane I built is 4oz lighter and I get about 4 or 5 min on the same pack so there got to be something going on with the ESC or motor.

Which prop gives the longest flying time ( the 1238 or the 1047 )?

keep an eye on how many AMP you are drawing out of the pack. Have you checked the cells in the pack for being balanced ?

I have nothing to check cell balance or amp my settup is pulling.I rarely use full power,my setup puts out around 26oz of thrust on a 1147 and the planes I fly are in the 8 to 12 oz range.

I said the APC 1238 give better flying time but I dont like this prop its to heavy. My favorite is the 1147 but I have none left.I switch motor and ESC and will give it a try.
I should have check the programing of the 10 amp esc before doing the swap.
