I blew the dust off this project this other day and now have the wing mostly closed up and mated to the fuselage. Wingtips, flaps and ailerons are next. I ran all the LED's installed so far for 1/2 hr. tonight. The 3 cell, AA, 2300 NiMh pack held up well so I'll likely go with 2 packs, one for the wing, one for the fuselage / empennage. I almost bought the 1 million candle power light on sale at CT for a landing light. It weighs 3 or 4 lbs but the big Cub would easily haul it. Wouldn't that mess up your night vision!
