Servo Reverser Problem

I bought a servo reverser from Tower Hobbies a couple months back to use in a Great Planes extra 300s for a dual elevator servo set up. I was trying it out last night for the first time and plugged it into the receiver with the servos plugged into the Y connections. When I turned on the receiver, the reversed servo started to jitter like I would if I drank about about 10 cups of Starbucks coffee in a row.

Not sure what the problem is with the reverser but will have to send it back, obviously faulty somehow.

Re: Servo Reverser Problem

I've used quite a few servo reversers in the past with good luck , all with analog servos . I tried that setup with digital servos and got the twitching . Figuring it was a bad reverser , i tried another new one , same result . I ended up mixing the 2 elevator channels . I've since tried the 2 reversers in question with analog servos and they work fine . Might be your problem as well ?

Re: Servo Reverser Problem

The servos I'm using are Futaba S3004 I don't think they are digital, anyway I phoned Tower Hobbies this morning to tell them what was happening. They said normally returns have a 30 day cutoff but since people don't always check out stuff they buy right away, they would send me a new reverser today and no need to send back the faulty one. I thought that was pretty decent of them.

Re: Servo Reverser Problem

No the Futaba 3004 servos are not digital , and i have used the reversers on lots of those servos , as well as the Hitec 645MG's . I ran into trouble using them on Hitec 7954SH digitals . You may very well have a faulty one . I have heard people complain about reversers for years , but never had any trouble with them until i used them with the digital servos , yet like i say , they worked fine when i tried them both on analog servos .

Re: Servo Reverser Problem

Finally got my new servo reverser in the mail yesterday, was shipped on April 13th, pretty slow in arriving. I plugged my servos into it last night and tried it, worked perfectly. Now I can proceed with my dual servo elevator setup.
