Re: Low Lipo Cell Help
I'm assuming you mean one you ran too low.
start off with a trickle level of charge and let it run for about 30-45 minutes or so then bump it up to 1/10C. The key is to initially set it up at a trickle level of charge (less than 1/10C) to "get the juices" going so to speak. I did mine with my blinky attached (but then, I always charge with Blinky attached). Your mileage may vary but it worked for me. |

Re: Low Lipo Cell Help
Thanks Len, yeah the cells did not discharge evenly. I will trickle the cell as you suggest.

Re: Low Lipo Cell Help
Also, if you have just a single low cell in a pack, charge the one cell through the balance leads using alligator clips and 2 paper clips inserted into the balance lead for the cell that needs to be revived. Just MAKE SURE you take measures to prevent the 2 paper clips from shorting, which would be disastrous. Also double check the polarity when hooking up the charge leads.
I had to do this with a friends BRAND NEW battery that had one cell way off balance from the others in a 4 cell pack. Balance charging would have taken overnight, but we used this method at the field and it worked great. Thereafter, the back was balance-charged after the flight and with each successive flight, the pack balance got closer and closer together when it was re-charged after each flight.

Re: Low Lipo Cell Help
I get the cell imbalance on my Thunder power five cells. I hit the charge button once or twice more until it levels out.
