what engine for seagull yak 54?

I'm looking at the Seagull Yak 54 for all out 3D. What engine is recomended? Published weight is 9 - 10 lbs. I have a Saito 150 but I'm worried about pull-out and fuel consumption...

I flew one today with a saito 125 spinning a 17x4. Seemed like a good combo, the motor is still slobbering rich as it is new. The cg was to far back and it was a snappy bitch. I hope once the cg is moved a long way forward it will fly better for the guy. The servo mount for the throttle broke loose so I grabbed the tx and flew it around till it went dead. The stock gear is bad, it is the famous seagull split design, not very good. I will fly it again for the guy next weekend and give a report if you are interested once the CG issues have been corrected.

I am not bashing the plane only saying what I noted. Do not expect to much from Seagul and you will not be disappointed.

The Saito 125 is SWEEEEET A$$. The thing starts crazy easy and is solid. I would get that motor in a heartbeat. It is lighter than the equivalent 2 stroke. I believe it is a big time winner.

I'd be happy to know how you make out next time. I'm borrowing an OS 160 off of a friend to see how it physically fits and balances. Power to weight would be awsome...

Keep in mind this plane does not have to many square inches of wing. the 160 is a half pound heavier than a satio 125. My buddy had to cut the cowel for the motor.
