Manitoba McpX stock motor?? and Parts

What is this little motor capable of? I don't know much about brushed motors let alone brushless motors.

Can the stock motor handle putting 2 - 1s batteries in series? And if it can handle it how long will it last?

Has anyone tried it?

Re: McpX stock motor??

I think that would almost certainly fry your esc (3in1? 4in1? not sure what the mcpx has in it)as soon as you plug it in.

Re: McpX stock motor??

I just think the $100++ price tag on the brushless upgrade is a bit rediculous! By the time you finish upgrading that thing its worth as much as a 450 or more! lol

So stock it stays! Thanks Chris

Re: McpX stock motor??

Who else sells the brushless upgrade for the Mcpx? Looking for the whole kit. I also heard there are a few. 7900kv, 11000kv, and a 14000kv. Is this true?

Re: McpX stock motor?? and Parts

I just got a used 14000kv from a friend for 70$. But I butchered the stock frame trying to get it to fit with no luck. Waiting on my microheli frame. Tuesday

Re: McpX stock motor?? and Parts

I ordered a 7mm brushed tail motor upgrade. Will it keep up to the 14000kv brushless main motor upgrade?

Re: McpX stock motor?? and Parts

I just want to make sure you understand that the built in esc can't run a brushless motor. Sorry if I'm covering the obvious but many people don't realize esc for brushed/brushless are completely different.

As far as the tail motor you've ordered, I'm not sure. What's the winding on it? The stock motor is a 9mm I think so I'd be a little surprised if a 7mm could keep up...
