Got a good question about Fun Flys. Are they mostly pre scheduled lists of flyers doing aerobatics or some other type of flying such as 3D and maybe scale? I've never been to one and just getting back into flying.

Also is it open to anyone usually with a MAAC membership? Unfortunately where I come from(High Level, AB) we don't have a club(only a few flyers that I've met) and so nothing too organized but I did get my MAAC membership for a few reasons including being able to attend some of these events in the future. I was hoping to get down to Grande Prairie's Fun Fly in June and then maybe something in Edmonton this year too. Even if just to watch.

A funfly is just that... bring something, anything and fly it.... Now if it is a scale funfly then yes it must look like a full scale airplane, no sticks or SPADS or,lawn darts.
Some have noon time airshows incorporated in to them where you see the 3D and IMAC stuff but most fun-flys are just that..have fun flyin what u brung.

Have fun in Grand Prairie and Edmonton.
