Where do i get my hands on a airplane restraint? I am looking for the type that looks like a padded fork sticking up from the ground...

Just use 2 long screwdrivers with pieces of pool noodles to cover the blades of the screwdrivers.

I got my 24 inch screwdrivers from Princess Auto and the pool noodle from Canadian Tire. The handles are small enough in diameter that I was able to force the pool noodle over the handle which keeps the noodle in place.

That's how I made mine that I use at home. 3 pieces of 12" pipe, 2- elbows and a tee all 1/2 copper.

Re: airplane restraint

Midwest makes a good one and it's available at Great Hobbies:

http://www.greathobbies.com/productinfo/?prod_id=MID811

I use this one for my 50cc airplane all the time and it works well.

Re: airplane restraint

Good link Jake.
Thats the one. I dont know why i could not find it when looking on Great Hobbies web site. Thanks
Looks like they have it in stock.

I did like the youtube link from the reply before yours. I watched the clip and the forks folded down! What a great idea. That way you keep the prop out of the grass.

I was out at the ERCS Cloverbar airfield today, not able to fly due to high winds. Tried to wait out the wind but no go today. Did get some engine tuning in. Runs nice now.
