Well, it flies. Its not fast but it does fly, and quite nicely I might add. I think I added two clicks of aileron and one up on the elevator.
I didn't have the retracts operational either so it should go a little faster with the gear up but we'll see. I was more after the flying characteristics than anything else but I might just get a tuned pipe anyway.

retracts
I also had an F-20 with a Rossi 45 and retracts. It was rock solid and fast. I noticed a huge difference in the flying characteristics between gear up and gear down...not just the change in speed. I fould with the gear up it tracked soo much better and just handled better. Ground handling though was kinda tough with the gear up though.

I believe the DC line of planes have been bought by Juno RC. For some versions that are available today, try:
1) Juno RC - http://junorc.com/tiger.htm $73 USD 2) Sportsman Aviation - http://www.hobbypeople.net/gallery/127520.asp $149 USD, but it's an ARF. 3) Phoenix Models - http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXKWN8 $150 USD 4) Kangke USA - http://www.kangkeusa.com/Super_Kraft...ark_f20_40.htm $200 USD 5) VMAR - http://canada.richmondrc.net/product...roductID=52502 $400 CDN - This is big and retract ready ARF Lots to choose from. Yep, there are lots out there but what ever happened to Direct Connections. None of the ones you listed is built by them?
Gotta like that Vmar F-5 eh. If ya look further you see they have an F-18 also. Dale

Well, if they produce it (F1 with retract capability, I think it would be a popular prop jet. As it is, I would pass on it.
