Well as I said in one of my earlier posts I finally got around to building one of your (Marks) Arrows... And boy does it fly great...!! So thanks to you I'm hooked on building a few different foamy jets with the same kind of construction... Here's the latest a F-105, ready to go, Have to do the test flight tommorow evening... And now I have a Mig-27 and a Su-25 in the works.. I just wanted to say thanks Mark for openning a new world for me...

Well flew it last week " OMG " lets just say I won't be getting a job as a designer at Lockheed-Martin any time soon... BUT I did take it out this week and changed the C/G and it flew not bad ... It's not relaxing like the Arrow, gota be on it all the time or it will bite me.. O well " On too the Mig 27 ".... I've got lots of depron and many unstable airplanes to make... ....

So much foam, so little time.

Unstability in an airplane (pitch) is usually fixed by a proper cg. It took me about a year of trials end errors before I got my glow version of the arrow to fly. I did quite a few tests to get the cg of the depron arrow right. Do not be discouraged. Sometimes a quarter 0f an inch makes a world of dif. I owe my obsession to a plane called the 3DX. A small aerobatic Extra type plane. Once I downloaded the plans built it, and flew it, THAT WAS IT !!! 10 foamies later and I still search the threads for something new. Just to pass on some info on CHEAP small electric stuff) brushless motors, speed controllers, servos...etc.) Try this link. I have ordered twice from them and stuff has arrived well packed and on time. Just an example. Tower pro 2409 12 T brushless motor, 25 amp speed controller, and a prop. $ 20.00 Can Thats right $ 20.00. This motor and speed controller will fly the hell out of any park jet or foamy warbird. I have 3 combos. Try this link http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store/uh_index.asp

depron Mustang

Here is the latest incarnation. I let my 7 year old son pick the next airplane and he picked the P-51 Mustang. Wingspan is 46 inches and fuse was modified to be the size of the parkzone mustang so I could use the cowl and spinner as well as the canopy and pilot. I flew it as a flat plate wing as you see it here and HOLY COW. Flew right out of my hands in perfect trim. I could not believe how stable it was and how slow it flies. Naturally "if it aint broke, Modify it". I cut some ribs and got some 1 ml depron and I am making a full wing. Also, I just had to add retracts. You can see the cut outs in the wing. all up weight is under 2 pounds. Should fly well. That said, Have you seen the Blucore 6 foot A-10 on RC groups. I must make it.
