Re: rcm plans service

I do most of my plans buying from Flying Models and will be buying the MAN membership -- free access to their PDF versions of ALL plans (apparently scanned correctly so Kinko's can print them out without going through hoops and such to get them resized.)

Thumbs up Re: rcm plans service

I think the reason Flying Models charge GST is the same as their magazines as they go through a Canadian address.
As far as the RCM plan service, they are still alive, I got one of their plans a couple of mnds. ago.
Cato.

Re: rcm plans service

The only problem I have with Flying Models is they charge 5% GST to Canadian modellers. Can someone tell me why an American company charges us GST? Like I hope no one here is dumb enough to believe thay actually hand the 5% over to our government. I've never ordered plans from Flying Models for that reason. I won't support them in any way. I have been tempted to order plans then go to the USPS and have them charged with mail fraud.

GST charged by FM? Hmmmmmm..... going to have to check that out.

Charging them with mail fraud under USPS rules would probably not get very far. However, checking with the GST people in Ottawa to see if Carstens is paying the monies. If they aren't registered or paying the funds collected, then you might want to ask the Carstens people to withdraw the GST charges since they are not passing them on.
