Gday.
Just looking for info on a P-39 Airacobra built from plans or scratch built.
What are the specs and what not.
I've always loved this plane and would love to build one someday. Palmer plans has it but does anyone else out there? OK, here's a waaay out question, is there a large kit of this plane out there? The Top Flight kit is not large enough.

Thanks
Myles

Myles,

I don't know how big the Top Flite kit is\was.

Jim Pepino had designed a set of plans for an 80" wing P-39

You can find it here:

http://www.fly-imaa.org/imaa/IMAAads...pinoplans.html

Also, there is an article about the plans that might help you out:

Good luck!

Chris

P-39 Airacobra

Yes, thanks.
I did see both of those.
I am kind of hoping to find some pics of some completed models if there are any out there.
What I WANT to do is, you guessed it.....have an internally mounted engine with a drive shaft going forward to the prop.
I know an electric version would be easy to have the P-39 keep it's beautiful lines in the nose area. See this is what i don't want to have...an ugly engine sticking out of the nose, hence and internally mounted engine.
any thing's possible if you put your mind (an equipment) to it eh?
Myles
