scorpian 55amp esc HEAT


       Remove this ad - become a site supporter!
i got 124 degrees off my esc and 116 on my batteries after a good normal mode flight. Is this right ??? seems hot

I don't think that is all that hot. If it's too hot to touch (batteries especially) you have problems. However, I have seen bags of electronic that work at "too hot to touch" temperatures. Just look up the specs of some of the componets on the web, and many (especially mil spec) work at temperatures above the boiling point of water.

Now someone with more experience with electric flying than I have may want to jump in here and contradict me, and I would not argue.

Those temps you have are no problem at all but, it really depends on the air temperature. If those numbers are with 10C (50F) air, you want to keep an eye on it when 30C comes back next summer.
