Anyone in K/W area?

Hey all. I'm new to R/C boating (spend most my time flying helis) and was wondering if their is a local club in the kicthener/Waterloo/Cambridge/Guelph area? Google didn't turn up anything so I figured I'd ask here.

More specifically I'm looking for someone who can sharpen a prop for a fee. I did my own on my first boat (a Nitro Vee), but now that I've moved to 23cc gas powered, I'd rather have someone with experience do the balance and sharpen (read: someone who knows what their doing

Thanks
jeff

Well I just got into boats myself for fun at the cottage.I've been into aircraft & heli's for many years now.
We used to live in Kitchener, but have recently moved to Ariss, just a few km north of Guelph.
I am now looking for some boat plans for use with an Aquacraft .05 electric outboard motor.
Any input is appreciated

Re: Anyone in K/W area?

Hi Paul,

I re-read your first post in this thread and I did not see where it mention plans, only prop sharpening. You may want to start another thread asking for plans.

Oops - I just noticed you already have another thread going asking for plans - hope you find them.

Fly4Fun,

Wayne

Re: Anyone in K/W area?

I have been doing boats on my own for the past few years. I know when I first started with a sailboat, there was a club - The Golden Triangle Marine Modelers. The had sail, FE and Nitro sections. The Sail guys used to meet at Victoria Park on Tuesday nights. Not sure what's up now but the Toronto Club (Marine Modellers) has a link to this page http://gtmmsaildivision.tripod.com/

I mostly do FE now.

Re: Anyone in K/W area?

The KW Club meets every Wednesday at the Kitchener city hall. I'm the FE Captain of the club.

Lets get together and run boats someday soon!

Just wanted to let you know that there are a few of us from around the Kitchener area, I fart around with my 59" Dumas 30cc Homelite out by Toyota. There are usually a few guys out there on weekends. Not a club or anything but random guys out with their toys. Not sure if any of them are Flying Dutchmen guys also, I've been out of the r/c plane scene for ages.
