This is for all you boater out there.I would like to get into the large gas boats, but worried about losing control or the engine shutting down and not being able to retrieve it.My question is,do they make a retrieval system of sorts?Like an electric motor that would kick in and have enough power to get it back to shore?

im sure you can make one yourself.

or you just use another rc boat as a retriver boat.

I thought I heard something about an electric motor installed in one of the manufactured rc boats but can remember which one.I so want a gas boat, especially something that will handle the calm to rough water of the ocean we have here.

I found the return to shore system,it was a traxxas boat.

Not sure if you could incorporate that into a gasser though.

Back in the day.....

I used to have a 1/4 scale round nosed hydro. Beautiful boat made out of mahogany. Ran a 23cc weedwacker motor in it, ahhh....... those were the days

Anyway, the club I ran with had a retrieval boat (aka rowboat). Someone had also taken a fishing rod and attached a tennis ball to the leader. You could cast the tennis ball over the boat and try to reel it in.

Than there was the time I had to swim out to my boat and the cops came. Had to sit very still with just the top of my head out of the water and make like a commando till he left

I'm not too worried about the salt water,my house is about 300 ft from the shore so I can wash with fresh right away.I do the same when I run the baja on the beach.I guess if it came down to it,I could just let the waves carry it back, the water is always moving in towards the shore.I just wonder what type of hull would be better to run when the water isn't smooth,a deep hull or something like the budweiser boat?
Warhead, what kind of boat you got?
