3rd Annual RCFC Toronto Scale Warbird Rally - July 9
The Radio Control Flying Club of Toronto is hosting the 3rd annual Warbird Rally at our field on July 9. Major intersection is Passmore Ave & Markham Rd, Go east on Passmore Ave to the end of the road.
Other clubs will also be attending. Last 2 events were very successful so we are now going with our 3rd. If you have a (or more than one) Warbird (includes military helicopters) from any era that you would like to bring, show, fly please come on down. Please note, this is a scale event so profile type models are not allowed. Its free admission, prizes and there will be a food vendor. Check out the Warbird Poster attached. DSM2 radio interference issues.
The RCFC Toronto field has been experiencing issues with models using DSM2 receivers. Over the past three years the number of residential WiFI (2.4GHz) and commercial WiFI users surrounding the field have significantly increased. Some of our pilots have reported connectivity issues. Most have upgraded to DSMX or are using other radio systems already employing Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum technology which are resilient to 2.4GHz saturation issues. Anyone flying with 72MHz will be required to make use of the frequency board located at the field.
