Jeremy if you have never tried Solartex now would be the time! It's easy to use (probably easier than Monokote) and it just looks right on WWI birds. Your choice of course.....

tHanks! Love Solartex - easy to put on and tough. Used to use it a lot back in the 80s and 90s BA ( before arfs). In this case I am working to match another DR1 done in Lowthars scheme that is already Monokoted. They are intended to fly together. It's a head scratcher - next one in Solartex - maybe a British Tripe.

I'd strip the monokote one, and do them both in Solartex. Ever since I started using the stuff, I have zero interest in using monokote on any surface meant to be fabric covered!
