Lots of good info guys. Thanks! BTW, Michelle, the small engine guy I went to is a Stihl dealer. He just shook his head. (I was in there picking up a mandrel for my garden tractor to replace one I busted cutting rocks along with grass)

Re: Weedie Fuel tank tubing.

Viton Fuel tubing from Thunderboltrc, is good stuff, and resists the ethanol in the fuel that screws up tygon lines.

Re: Weedie Fuel tank tubing.

Which tygon are you referring to? They seem to make it for surgical embedding, cosmetics, milk, gasses and fuel.

Quote:
Tygon Fuel and Lubricant Tubing F-4040-A is translucent yellow for positive identification and flow monitoring. It is used in small engine fuel lines, recreational vehicles, and lubrication lines.

Hello, I just fixed that exact problem. Just find a tubing with the same I.D.
It more then likely will have a larger O.D. then the stuff you are trying to replace. Just drill out the plastic fuel tank to fit the new tubing and install.
When your done drilling the hole make sure the line is going to be a tight fit, to keep a good seal. Go to the nearest motorcycle repair shop and ask for 'Tygon Tubing'(gasline). Take a piece with you to make sure they get the I.D. right.

Re: Weedie Fuel tank tubing.

I buy my fuel line at the TSC Store now. It comes in very small sizes and is one third the cost as tygon. Its a litle stiffer, so I dont use it on the clunk line. I did the jelly been test on it and after one week, there was no destortion at all.

Re: Weedie Fuel tank tubing.

Well, I was in one of our local Home hardware stores a couple of days ago, and inquired about the tubing. One of the guys working there (lives near me actually.) said they wouldn't have anything like that but... if I went up the road a bit and onto a side street to a place called "Swan's", they should have what I needed. I went in there and before I knew what was happening, he had a tubing kit pulled from stock and in my hands.
