Do you run with Airtronics? Not as easy it seems to program as the Futaba. Yes using the HK 401 gyros and gain started at 40 now at 47 still not stable enough. It will FLY if I can figure the combination to make it work. I have my left and centre gyros blinking constantly but the one on the right only blinks when arming.

JR here not an issue

Check your swash make sure it is set to 100% all around.

My suggestion would be set max setting rate mode 100% turn your limit pot to max and your delay to min. Blinking is normal for rate mode, steady is lock head mode not the correct setting.

Before you plug in the battery put the throttle to max, then plug the battery "be careful hold one hand on the machine" gyro will take a few seconds to initialize. Then the esc will enter program mode move the stick to idle. This will set your esc endpoint. Then proceed to flight tuning, turn the rate down till the machine stop wagging.

You should be good to go after that

Jerry

Um, well, I hate to say it but it's still in the box. Motivation has been lacking lately. Soon though.

Re: minidelta-copter

So now that I have this little tri it will serve the purpose of test bed; I just added another lock head gyro in HH mode to the elevator channel. It took some figuring but I got it to fly. This is what I did switched the elevator to throttle channel then mix elevator back in. Now I have an idle up curve just for the elevator channel.

This will allow me automatic self levelling feature of C of G.

Re: minidelta-copter

Concept to completion

Finally after a few design changes to the control system mainly, we have completed the ship. Operating multiwii ver 1.7, TOW; 1430g with camera and 3000mah battery we will operate comfortably for 6 minutes as configured.

Re: minidelta-copter

Looking good Jerry, very stable. Definately get your FPV gear installed. You'll have a blast flying with googles/monitor. I find it easier to fly this way. Just sit back in your chair and enjoy!
