The cost of printer ink has always been a sore spot with me. Replacing a few ink cartridges and you may have paid the original cost of your printer. If you do a lot of printing especially color they don’t last very long at all. I am pleasantly surprised by the new Kodak printer I purchased.

I spent a lot of time looking at all the different brands. As in the past I paid particular attention to the cost of replacement cartridges and the ink capacity of said cartridges. The standard fodder, Canon, HP, Lexmark, Brother all had acceptable printers cost wise but the cost of replacement cartridges made me cringe knowing full well how fast one could go through them with any volume of printing.

I attended a Kodak demo and decided to give these printers a try. I have now had and used the ESP 6150 all in one for about 3 weeks now.

The ink cartridges that come with printers are known to be sample versions with about 60% of the ink of the regular cartridges. I have printed many pages of text, over two dozen 4X6 prints and several 8 1/2 X 11 and the ink is still shown at well over half full.

All the Kodak ESP printers I am told use the same print head and cartridges. Regular black replacement is $10 with a large capacity at $19. Color is $19
