Otterville IMAC Primer May 31. UPDATE!! JUNE 1

Remove this ad - become a site supporter!
All pilots are invited to attend our 2nd Otterville IMAC Primer event. We had an excellent turnout last year. This is not a contest, rather, geared towards everyone getting some bugs worked out of their planes. This is an event for new and experienced pilots, a great opportunity for new pilots wanting to try out IMAC. We will introduce you to IMAC flying, help you with engine setup, radio setup, you name it and we can help. We are also planning some lively discussions on judging. You will get a hot lunch (if you don't get one at home now's your chance), drinks, coffee, doughnuts and of course flying, the price is $15 for everything. The date is May 31 with June 1 as the rain date, starts at 9am. Location is Otterville Flying Field. GPS coordinates are N42* 54.051', W080* 35.633'. Directions from the west are 401 west to exit 232 (Hwy 59) and go south about 15 minutes (watch for signs), and turn right on New Road, go a few minutes and field is on the left.

In order for the cook to keep us all fed and happy we need you guys to preregister as we have to order food. If you like an extra meal for that special someone let us know, we'll get you a deal.

And in closing here are words of wisdom from my pal Ken W ...

I think a big part of improving is having someone watch and tell you your mistakes. Most of the time it's just simple things that need to be fixed (hold a line longer, center the manoeuver).Unfortunately a lot of pilots don't have anyone at there club who is willing or able to help them.
Also radio and plane setup is a huge factor and can make your life almost stress free. (pure inputs, down elevator with idle).
Last summer Donny helped setup my radio-plane,and it was almost like cheating the rest of the summer.
All pilots who are willing to put effort into improving their flying deserve a pat on the back!

Improving is something that is not accomplished quickly. What you learn from this, can be fine tuned to make Flying more enjoyable

Congratulation Mike,
I wish you many countless flights with your new 260. Have you got the 2.4?

Re: Otterville IMAC Primer May 31.

Count me in. Boy, do I need help this year. (Missed flying pretty much all last summer)

Yeah, right Mike....if you need help, then we're all in big trouble for sure! I was kinda hoping you'd check out a few things for me! Got my new Yak all ready to rumble, for the most part but I do need help figureing out some of the more intracate programming on the JR 9303....yeah, I know your a futaba guy, but I need to do that throttle to elevator thing again, this time with a radio that has the capability to do it perfectly!

Sounds like a great event and I wouldn't miss it for anything. See you all there!

Re: Otterville IMAC Primer May 31.

I still don't have my plane ready, work is really putting a damper one my free time to build but I sure would like to come as a spectator and learn as much as I can and also watch everybody fly. Would I still have to register or just pay at the gate?

Thanks Ed.

Come without an airplane? That's just wrong!!! Any old plane will do. Trainer, flying plank, bring something and burn a hole.

They say trees are 90% air. Personally I think they are 100% tree.
