Maiden flight
Just a little note to tell you all that my Sig 1/4 scale CUB flew its maiden flight this morning at the Arnprior r/c Club. It flew remarkably well with no bad habits what so ever. I want to take this minute to thank every one that helped me in what ever way with your suggestions comments and ideas whenever i came across a question regarding either the plane or the weed-eather conversion engine.
THANK YOU R/C Canada and all you who helped me!!! Hope you're winter projects all come out flying as nice as mine... Jesse |

What would you like to know?
It's a sig 1/4 scale 105 inches span, covered in cub yellow monoquote powered by a 23cc weed eater gas engine (converted) and flown with hightech electronics using 5 servos and one for the drop bomb bay door. it swings a 16 6 prop at 7600 rpm. slow passes at about 10 to 15 miles per hour and high pass at something close to 60 if i'm lucky very gentle plane to fly... |

YEP!!!
for the moment i dorp badminton birdies. 4 at a time, very slow descent. but for our funfly i will have a big 36 inches parachute i am puting together now, something cheap in case the wind decide to take it for a ride. ALWAYS wanted to drop parachute from my planes, also later i will work on some kind of camera box to take aerial pictures, then post them on our club's web site. I love r/c ing. |
