There though was why not save everyone $10 not just 1 class racers.
Understood, but why do people always bring things like this up after the fact. I guess as the saying goes, we cant always make everyone happy. I only run once class so for me I havent really put a lot of thought into that i just voted for what I wanted and if it was 70$ for 2 classes i thought why not make it cheaper for myself

Yep thats the hope. And I think all in all it will truely help people who are on the fence of coming to a big race.

That's absolutely correct Michael. The emphasis was to make one class affordable, which 99% of new racers would be able to take advantage of, while the majority of existing racers would still expect to pay the same $70.00 for their weekend of racing. Ultimately, we are hoping to make racing a little more affordable for the 'newbies' (or their paying parents). Enough so, that they make the decision to start racing!

Make no mistake about it, I intend to pay very close attention to how this fee structure worked at the conclusion of 2011. I wouldn't think twice about reverting the fees back to 50/20 for 2012 if it doesn't work as planned.

There would be no point in leaving it at 40/30, for only the 'one class racers' to enjoy at the expense of the tracks, while the rest of the racers still pay equal fees to 2010. It's simply not what the restructuring was meant for, and I don't intend to let that happen for two reasons. One, it's unfair to the tracks, and two, it's unfair to the racers in multiple classes. If it works (or starts working), GREAT! If it doesn't, it's going back!

I'd really appreciate everyone doing their part to attract new racers by stressing to them, "it's only $40.00", etc. I will do my best as well, and I also intend to share rough statistics with everyone as the year unfolds. Number of 'one class racers'. Number of 'new faces to the series', etc. More damn work, but whaaaaatever.
